I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 16 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of psychological disorders. The people with whom I have worked have included individuals with intellectual disabilities, chemical dependency, criminal behaviors, and persistent mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychotic disorders. Prior to going into private practice, I worked in outpatient community mental health centers and inpatient psychiatric hospitals as a staff psychologist. I have also been the director of mental health for a men’s prison. These experiences have been invaluable to my clinical experience. They have given me the opportunity to evaluate people whose diagnoses have run the gamut of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. My current work includes being a part-time psychologist for a local sheriff’s office (police psychologist) as well as a threat of violence hotline coordinator for a large hospital system.
Over the years, I have conducted thousands of psychological evaluations that have included parole evaluations for the Florida Parole Board, sex offender screenings (to determine whether the offender could remain in general population in prison), psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents, presurgical evaluations, social security disability evaluations, fitness-for-duty evaluations (both pre-employment and post-employment), guardianship evaluations, and immigration evaluations.
I am authorized to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology with the following states via PSYPACT. This means that I may conduct clinical psychology service via Zoom (or any other real time synchronous platform) for clients residing in the following 38 states:
